The inhabitants of Chechnya, who became victims of persecution - even if only a suspicion of non -traditional sexual orientation, has very little chance of staying alive.

It is known that some detainees are released for "unprovenness." However, in this case, they are in danger, which comes from relatives. In Chechnya, the ancient custom of “killing honor” is still common - this is a measure that allows you to wash off a shame from the family by killing the culprit of this shame.

Our sources in the Chechen special services categorically connected the wave of detentions, which were called "preventive stripping", with the other wave - informational.

In early March, in the Caucasus, Russian LGBT activists, participants in the Gayrussia.ru project as part of their all-Russian judicial campaign, submitted applications for intention to conduct a series of gay parades in four cities of the North Caucasus Federal District. So, on March 9, LGBT activist Vladimir Klimov, who was living in the Sverdlovsk region, sent by mail to the Nalchik administration and the regional administration of Kabardino-Balkaria “Notification of a public event in the form of a procession”. The notification stated that the procession is planned to be held along the main streets in the historical center of Nalchik, the estimated number of participants in the event is 300 people (there is a scan of statements at the disposal of Novaya Gazeta). Similar statements were also submitted by Moscow LGBT activists on March 9 and 10 in Circassian, in Stavropol and in Maykop ..

Information about the intention of the activists of the project Gayrussia.ru (project manager of the famous Moscow LGBT activist Nikolai Alekseev) to conduct gay prides in the regions of the Caucasus. In the entire Caucasus, this news caused mass protests, where the speakers showed a high level of aggression. In social networks, rollers made with varying degrees of creativity and calls for the murder of people with non -traditional sexual orientation appeared.

It was at this time that the team for “preventive stripping” was given in Chechnya and it came to real murders.

Nikolai Alekseev told Novaya Gazeta that by submitting applications for parades in various regions of Russia, he was fighting for his constitutional rights, for freedom of assembly and for the abolition of the law on the ban on gay propaganda. “We no longer conduct inconsistent gay parades,” he told Novaya Gazeta. - Previously carried out, now - no. We seek from the state of coordination of our shares and ensuring security for their participants. But every time we submit an application, we, of course, are preparing for the gay parade in case our application is agreed. ”

The “Novaya Gazeta” clarifying questions, why 300 people appear in the application and how many local LGBT activists planned to go to gay parades in Nalchik, Circassian, Maykope, or at least in Stavropol, Alekseev could not answer anything specific. He explained that in case of coordination of the promotion and security, Moscow and St. Petersburg activists were ready to come to the Caucasus themselves and participate in gay parades.

At the same time, neither Alekseev nor his lawyers came to Nalchik either for filing a notification or a preliminary hearing on a claim for a refusal to conduct a gay parade in this Caucasian city. Alekseev noted that this is due not only to workload, but also with personal security. After it became known about the application for a gay pride in Nalchik and other cities of the North Caucasus Federal District, he received "a huge number of threats for all possible types of communication."

Alekseev, in addition to activist activities, is known for his numerous claims filed in court in various regions of the country: he appealed each refusal to agree on the action in Russian courts, then the complaint is sent to the European Court of Human Rights.

In 2011, Alekseev won his first complaint in Strasbourg, compensation amounted to 29 thousand euros.

At the moment, the ECHR has communicated two more complaints of it, the compensation for which, according to the coordinator of the “gender program” of the Bellya Foundation Irina Kosterina, can be up to 100,000 euros.

In addition, according to Alekseev, the third, “unprecedented in scale”, a wave of complaints is being prepared, which, apparently, also got cases of refusals in the Caucasian cities. According to Alekseev, "trials to recognize refusals to conduct gay parades illegal, they are in 95 cities, we covered 78 out of 89 regions of Russia in a part of the incomplete year." Alekseev confirmed that complaints in all regions would be sent to the ECHR, but found it difficult to name the requested amount of compensation for legal costs and for moral damage.

To the question of the Novaya Gazeta, whether he knows that his statements about his intention to conduct gay parades in the Caucasus provoked the persecution of local representatives of LGBT, and in Chechnya led to mass detentions and murders, Alekseev replied that the correspondent of Novaya Gazeta “speculates unhust information, operates with unfounded facts, and personally about such persecution and consequences about such persecution and consequences about such persecutions and consequences about such persecutions and consequences about such persecution His actions are not known. ”
