Coordinator of striking truckers detained in Irkutsk

In Irkutsk on April 3, the coordinator of the local branch of the Association of Carriers of Russia, Sergei Khmelev, was detained. The head of the Moscow OPR Sergei Rudametkin reported this to the hotline.

OVD-InfoKhmelev was detained next to the trucks standing on strike. At the moment, contact with him is lost, where he is is unknown.

Khmelev told the publication “Irsity!ru” that the drivers were under pressure from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate. They were threatened that they would be taken to the police station if they did not give an explanation about the unauthorized run.
