The Kremlin has decided to hold rallies against terrorism in Russian cities
The Russian presidential administration recommended that regional leaders hold rallies against terrorism on Saturday, April 8, Kommersant reports.
"Governors are already being called and tasked with driving all the people there," the newspaper quotes a source close to the presidential administration. According to him, rallies are planned to be held "especially where protests took place" on March 26.
This information was confirmed to Kommersant by sources in the leadership of several Russian regions, as well as in the United Russia party. According to the newspaper, all parliamentary parties are expected to take part in the rallies.
“The authorities are often criticized for not sharing the grief of the people; one of the goals is to prove that this is not the case,” said a source in the administration of one of the regions.
On April 8, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation has planned a rally in Moscow "against the deterioration of the social situation of Russian citizens." In addition, the action has been planned by an association called "New Opposition," in which the organizers of the "Russian Marches" are participating.
A source in another region told Kommersant that the rally would be organized in a “standard” manner: United Russia and the authorities would mobilize public sector workers.
