On March 21, the administration of Cheboksary refused to approve an anti-corruption rally in the city's Hyde Park. Representatives of the mayor's office informed the applicants that on March 26, a picket would be held in this place in support of the "Eco Test" project of the "Young Guard" movement.
The Cheboksary authorities suggested that the activists “postpone the planned public event in the form of a rally to a later date,” without providing the organizers with options for alternative venues. The organizers filed a lawsuit against the city administration, and also wrote a statement to the prosecutor's office.
