The Duma supported equating meetings of deputies with voters with rallies

On April 5, the State Duma adopted in the first reading a bill that actually equates meetings of deputies with voters to rallies. It is reported by RBC.

The draft law establishes that a deputy, when holding a meeting with voters, may not wear the organizer's distinctive badge if he has a deputy's uniform badge.

A deputy must submit a notice of a street meeting to the relevant authorities no earlier than 10 days before the event, and no later than seven days before it. In accordance with applicable law, the organizer of a public event must submit such an application no earlier than 15 days and no later than 10 days before the event.
