On April 6, a rally of memory of those who died as a result of a terrorist attack in the St. Petersburg metro was held on April 6. The action was called "Peter, you and I!" According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, more than fifty thousand people gathered in the center of Moscow. The action was coordinated by the Moscow authorities in one day - this was explained by the fact that it is non -political. Sasha Sulim journalist Medusa tells how the event passed.

About four o’clock in the afternoon in the center of the hall of the metro station "Square of the Revolution" began to gather participants in the action "Peter, you and I!" For some of them, coordinators distributed small bouquets - red carnations or white tulips - after which people climbed up the escalator in small groups. Others tried to clarify the place of meeting on Manezhnaya Square at their colleagues.

A few dozen meters from the exit from the metro placed the framework of metal detectors. Having leaked through them, the crowd sharply slowed down - the space from the Museum of the Patriotic War of 1812 to the "Okhotny Ryed" shopping center was quickly filled with people. According to the police, more than 50 thousand people came to the action.

Several large screens were installed on the square, and most people accumulated near them. Before the start of the action in the crowd, they discussed the recipes of jam, photographed themselves and each other. “Oh, television has come,” the woman said joyfully and said with hope to her friends. “Maybe we will light up.”

The state flags of Russia and political parties fluttered over the square: “Fair Russia”, the Communist Party, “Civil Power”, “Party of Pensioners”.

“When we all lined up, the elders said - the flags were allowed,” Medusa correspondent told the Medusa member of the military brotherhood of war veterans from the city of Pushkino, he was just turning the flag with the image of the coat of arms of the city and expressed dissatisfaction that “some” were not fulfilled by the request of the organizers of the action (hinting at the Communist Party and “fair Russia”). The man also said that 51 people came from Pushkino, many of them are students. “We bought flowers in advance and handed it out to everyone,” he said, also telling that Dmitry Medvedev should speak from the stage, and there was a parallel rally for “a higher party leadership” on Poklonnaya Gora (there was not any action on the worship of the mountain).

“Do not want to take flowers?”, The student of one of the Moscow colleges suggested that the Medusa correspondent. According to them, they were “voluntarily forced” by the college’s leadership: “They distributed flowers, they said to go here after steam by 16:30, and promised that at 17:00 we could leave anyway.” While we talked with the students, others approached us - and also offered to take flowers. “We ourselves do not know where to put them,” the girls from the first group answered bewildered.

Older women, who also held a group, said that no one forced them to come to the action, although they gathered with one labor collective. “This is everyone’s personal business, we were released so that we could come here,” said one of the women.

The teacher of one of the Moscow schools began to tell her students about how, in 1953, at the funeral of Joseph Stalin in the center of Moscow there was a terrible crush - apparently, hinting that there was practically no free space left in the style of style. “It is good that not many people died in the attack, this means that our security services worked well. They even neutralized the second bomb in time, ”the teacher said proudly.

Very next to her, another teacher - military training - canceled the evening lesson by phone.

Grigory Leps sang from the screens (in the recording), activists of the youth patriotic organization (from which one - they refused to report) were handed out with their own hands of paper cranes. An elderly woman asked the Medusa correspondent, which is the meaning of life. But then she found the answer: “We must do something. Fight. We won Hitler, and the French, - we will defeat the terrorists, ”she said.

About five o’clock the leading evenings appeared on the stage - the announcer of the First Channel Svetlana Zeynalova and singer Alexander Marshal. They urged all political flags: “This is not an evening of political ambitions, but an act of memory” - and declared a minute of silence. Barely restraining her tears, Zeynalova read out her speech: “The purpose of terrorism is to intimidate. But we will not be afraid and so simply will not give up. ”

The presenters recalled that the initiators of the action are trade unions of the subway and transport and the Ministry of Culture.

“Tind us, God, the bright path in the darkness,” Diana Gurtskaya sang the first from the stage. After her performance, the presenters began to read out small biographies of 13 dead in a terrorist attack. The story of the victims was interrupted by performances and musical numbers.

Journalist Sergei Dorenko entered the stage. According to the presenters, it was he who invented the hashtag "Peter, you and I are!" Dorenko spoke loudly and emotionally: “Have you seen how [Petersburgers] behaved and how they helped each other? The whole city lived like one person, I want to be like them. They were citizens. We collect debts from terrorists. This is our house. And they will have to pay. ”

Sergey Boyarsky, the son of a famous actor and a deputy from United Russia, and director Alexei Teacher, also entered the stage.

Around 17:30 people began to leave the square and lay cloves to metal fences. And the evening of memory finally turned into a concert.

Singer Olga Kormukhina sang the “blood group” Viktor Tsoi and already on the second piece began to direct the microphone to the hall, urging people to sing along. After the performance of Daniil Pluzhnikov (the winner of the First Channel project “Voice. Children - 3”) - he sang “We beat us, we fly” - even the presenter urged the audience to not be shy and conduct the artist with applause.

The singer Valery sang “Strong women also cry”, Alexei Kortnev - “The city over the free Neva”, and Alexander F. Sklyar - “The beloved city can sleep calmly.”

We completed the evening of memory "Good news from St. Petersburg." “The girl of Evelina came to itself, who turned out to be very close to the place of the explosion,” said Zeynalova and invited the children's ensemble “Fidget”, who sang “allluly love” to the stage.

By this moment, the Manezhnaya Square was almost empty, it immediately began to clean from the cigarette butts and crumpled carnations workers of city utilities. Those who remained to the end laid flowers to the monument to the hero city of Leningrad in the Alexander Garden: before that it was impossible to get to the stele due to the fact that the territory of the Alexander Garden was blocked.
