
Former President of the Russian Federation of Basketball Julia Anikeeva denies the involvement of 44 million rubles in the PROTENT of the RIS, RIA Novosti was told in the Chertanovsky Court of Moscow.
"The defendant Anikeeva did not admit her guilt during the court session," said the representative of the court.
According to the investigation, the ex-president of the RFB, Julia Anikeeva and former chief accountant of the Federation Mikhail Kocharian with an accomplice, the criminal case against which was allocated in a separate proceeding in connection with the search, with the accompligy of the accountant of Elena Silina, the funds of the RFB was abducted.
The investigation established that from February 2014 to August 2015, Silina controlled the work of four controlled Anika -based businessmen who did not act in real activities. They concluded fictitious agreements, after which money was transferred to bank accounts, which were cashed out and transferred to Silina, and then Kocharyan, the investigation claims. The scheme was identified in December 2015 by the new leadership of the RFB as a result of an audit, after which the new President of the RFB filed a statement to law enforcement agencies.
In total, according to the investigation, almost 44 million rubles were stolen. In October 2016, Kocharian died of serious illness, but his criminal prosecution continued, as Kocharian's relatives objected to his cessation on non -rehabilitating grounds.
In March, accountant Silina was sentenced to 3.5 years in a colony for involvement in the theft.
