In Arkhangelsk, the case against a pensioner who participated in an anti-corruption campaign was dropped

Andrey Preblagin, judge of the Oktyabrsky District Court of Arkhangelsk, acquitted pensioner Marina Venchikova under Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (violation of the established procedure for organizing or holding a public event) due to the absence of an administrative offense in her actions. This was reported on the website of "Rus sitting".

Venchikova was accused of holding a picket surrounded by citizens with a banner reading “Putin is not Russia, Russia is us” after she allegedly posted a photo in one of the groups on the social network Vkontakte.

Earlier, OVD-Info reported that in Arkhangelsk, an elderly woman, Marina Venchikova, who was detained at a rally against corruption, was taken by the police from hospital No. 7 to the Lomonosovsky District Court.

On March 26, Venchikova and her granddaughter went to a rally against corruption in Arkhangelsk, where she was detained and taken to the police department. There, the woman became ill and was taken away to city hospital No. 7, but on March 31, the police came to the woman at the hospital and by force, not allowing Venchikova to change her hospital clothes, loaded her into a car and took her to court.
