The landing gear flap occurred at the Irkutsk aircraft plant on April 6, Life reports, citing a source. According to media reports, an employee of the plant died. Official messages from law enforcement agencies or the Ministry of Emergency Situations have not yet appeared.
“As a result of the cotton, the rod that flew out of the rack caused injuries incompatible with life to the employee, the man died in the hospital,” the newspaper writes .
Authorities are investigating the man's death.
The Irkutsk Aircraft Plant is a branch of the Irkut Corporation, which produces aircraft of the SU, YaK models and the new Russian passenger liner MS-21. About 12.5 thousand people work at the enterprise.
