© TsSI "Vinzavod"A special project to support the young art “Start” of the Center for Contemporary Art “Winzavod” announced a new curator. In the 2017/2018 season, it will be art critic and curator Vera Trakhtenberg.
According to the Press Service of the Winzavod TsSI, the plans of the new curator have personal projects at the junction of fine art, music and performance, the organization on the site "Start" of open discussions on relevant topics, cooperation with foreign authors and curators.
From April to May 2017, Vera Trakhtenberg will hold a series of portfolio-Revolution in Moscow art and creative universities. The opening of the first exhibition of the season is planned in June.
In the 2017/2018 season , “Start” begins cooperation with the new expert - the attache on the culture of the Austrian Embassy in Moscow and the director of the Austrian Cultural Forum in Moscow Simon Brozen. As an expert at the project, he will take part in the selection of artists who will subsequently get the opportunity to organize their first personal exhibition at the Winery.
The Expert Council also includes an independent curator and critic Antonio Jeuza, Deputy Director for Exhibition Activities of the Multimedia Art Museum Anna Zaitseva, artist, rector of the BAZ Institute Anatoly Osmolovsky, Head of the Modern Art Department of the State Hermitage Dmitry Dmitry Ozerkov, Galerist Sergey Popov, art manager, curator Nikolai Palazhchenko and curator Anastasia Shavlokhova.
Vera Trakhtenberg in 2010 graduated from the art history department of the History Faculty of Moscow State University, in 2011-2015 she worked in the Museon Art Park, where she initiated the restoration of Vera Mukhina’s sculpture “We demand peace!”, Working on preserving historical graffiti on the pedestal of the Dzerzhinsky monument, oversaw a number of exhibitions.
In 2015–2016 she worked at the Manezh MVO, was a curator of the exhibitions “Sculptures that we do not see” and “Worker and collective farmer. Personal business ”(together with Andrei Parshikov), worked on the creation of a new permanent exposition at the MVC“ Worker and Collective farmer ”, opened in 2016.
Since 2016, he has been teaching at the British Higher School of Design the course “New Artistic Strategies”. Currently works in the State Museum and Exhibition Center "Rosiso".
