Two traffic police inspectors were shot dead at night in Ingushetia

The investigative department of the Investigative Committee for Malgobek opened a criminal case after the murder of two traffic police officers who were shot in an official car at night on one of the city streets, the department said in a statement .

According to investigators, at approximately 1:30 local time, from the roadway on Promyshlennaya Street in Malgobek, “unidentified persons” fired from automatic weapons at two traffic police inspectors who were traveling in a VAZ-21070 official car.

Both inspectors received injuries from which they died in the hospital. After the shelling, the car caught fire.

Shell casings believed to be 7.62 mm and 5.45 mm were found at the scene of the attack.
