Bogatov’s detention period was extended after the addition of the article “calls for terrorism”

The Presnensky District Court of Moscow extended the detention of Dmitry Bogatov, suspected of inciting mass riots, to 72 hours after investigators added an article about incitement to terrorism to him. This was reported on April 8 by Mediazona.

The investigation petitioned for the arrest, the lawyers asked for time to familiarize themselves with the new materials. On the eve of the Presnensky court refused the investigation on the petition for the arrest of Bogatov in the case of calls for mass riots at the shares on April 2, since the article of the Criminal Code was not classified as serious. He was supposed to be released on bail, but the investigators took him for a new interrogation, after which one article was added: Bogatov is now suspected of calling for terrorism (Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code) and preparing to organize mass riots (Part 1 of Article 30, Part 1 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code) (apparently changed from part 3 of article 212, which was originally discussed, we are clarifying the information). The two cases are merged into one proceeding.
