Moscow school directors are summoned to the Investigative Committee in connection with the March 26 action

Information has emerged that Moscow school directors are being summoned to the Investigative Committee due to the fact that students were detained at the protest on March 26.

The father of one of the teenagers detained on March 26, Alexey Petunin, spoke about a similar call from the director. According to him, on April 7, the director called them at home (she was talking to his wife) very excited and said something like this: “I am being summoned to court regarding a criminal case against your son.” After this, Petunin consulted with human rights activist Alla Frolova, who suggested that this meant that the director was being summoned to the Investigative Committee so that she could characterize his son. According to Petunin, the director was summoned to April 11. In a conversation with Petunin’s wife, the director also said that she had spoken with some of her colleagues, who were also “summoned.”

OVD-InfoAlla Frolova said that, according to her information, in at least two Moscow schools, directors and class teachers were summoned with a demand to take with them the personal files of specific teenagers. According to established practice, in such cases, employees of educational institutions are also required to provide characteristics of students, information about academic performance and the results of educational work.

OVD-Info Petunin’s son, Nikolai, was detained at the rally on March 26 and taken to the Nagatinsky Zaton OVD. There, in the presence of his father, who came to pick him up, a juvenile affairs inspector spoke with Nikolai and asked questions about how Nikolai ended up at the protest. Then Petunin took his son home.

The next day in the evening, when Petunin was not at home, an investigator from the Investigative Committee came to their apartment. According to Petunin, for about two hours she asked Nikolai about the action, whether he knew Navalny, whether they promised to pay him for participation, who shouted what slogans. The investigator did not say what the status was, in the framework of which criminal case she asked questions, she did not give any copy of the official document to Nikolai and his mother, he only signed the testimony that the investigator recorded for him.

Petunin Jr. Later, Nikolai Petunin, in the presence of his father, also communicated with the juvenile affairs inspector at his place of residence. They also asked how Nikolai ended up at the protest and how he was detained. The questions also concerned family composition and living conditions, he said.
