Petersburg - action in support of truckers

In St. Petersburg on Nevsky Prospekt from 50 to 80 people gathered on Saturday to express support for truckers strike and support their requirements, including one of the main ones - the cancellation of the payment system from Plato heavy vehicles. According to one of the organizers of the gathering, the activists of the St. Petersburg branch of the Solidarity movement Olga Smirnova , the truckers decided to put pressure on power because they felt deceived, receiving only a year from officials. Olga Smirnova emphasizes that, unlike past protests, now truckers are not limited to economic requirements, but insist on the resignation of the government and express their distrust of the president.

The organizers of the gathering consider the strike of truckers a serious event that can entail economic difficulties, increase prices for many goods. The organizers of the gathering also believe that if the authorities defeat this confrontation, then this can turn into a monopolization of the transportation market, which will be controlled by several large companies. That is why now not only small entrepreneurs, owners of one or two freight trucks, but also medium transport car enterprises begin to connect to the strike.
