Readers know Anastasia Gryzunov as a magnificent translator from English. In her translations were published by the books of Jane Osten, Margaret Etwood, Dave Eggers, Bret Ellisa and many other writers. In her blog, Anastasia writes mainly about books. However, in the last days, words appeared on her Facebook, before there were not encountered there: special receiver, police, courts. On March 26, Anastasia, her 18-year-old son Boris, a freshman of Moscow State University, and his school friend Stepan were in the center of Moscow during a rally against corruption. Despite the fact that they did not have posters, they did not shout slogans, did not conflict with the police, but simply walked quietly and stopped in the lane, they detained all three, and Boris and Stepan, like many young Muscovites, who came out of Alexei Navalny to the protest, were sentenced to 10 days. “I have been walking in the court for a week and a half, then to the special receiver,” Anastasia said. On April 5, she met Boris, who was released from the special projector No. 1 on Simferopol Boulevard late in the evening. Now the mother and son intend to sue, because they are sure that their detention was illegal, and the protocol has gross distortions that the judge did not deliberately pay attention to.
Mother and son told their history Radio Liberty:
Anastasia: I went to the action on March 26, because a) I considered that it was right, b) my son was going there, and I could not help but go. I took a passport, a phone and a first -aid kit with me - I can provide first aid, and when a big crowd, you never know what could be. The first -aid kit was not useful, fortunately, but then in the ATS Sokolniki, when we seized things, they were vividly interested in whether I was drinking hydrogen peroxide. I did not even know that the human body was able to drink it.
And an amazing thing - a week and a half different people ask the question: "What did she want?" In addition to the fact that the thesis "what she wanted-she went outside; naturally, it was taken" seems to me a variation on the topic "what she wanted-she put on a mini-skirt; naturally, she was raped", I have to say: I generally want it, because it should not be (also-in case it is not clear, I report that I did not want corruption in the country, but this It is not interesting, even to speak stupid - who wants her?
Anastasia Gryzunova
Boris: I grew up in an opposition family (well, what a nightmare! Where did Juvenile justice look?!). Many of my peers are the same. Naturally, everyone saw the latest investigations of the Corruption Fund, many have been following the activities of the FBK for a long time. Of us who had just entered universities, no one has ever went to rallies: until recently, we were minors and did not want to complicate our parents with their lives. Now most of us already have a relatively established civic position.
On the way to Avtosak, the policeman said that we are traitors, "Americans", we must be taken out of the country
I was much more lucky than some other detainees. OMON did not beat me, they did not drag me with my back on the asphalt. A lone man in uniform approached me in Bolshoi Putinkovsky Lane. He saw on my coat “Navalny 20! 8”, grabbed my hand and dragged me - without introducing myself without showing the documents, not reporting the reasons for the detention, but to repeated requests to do all this did not react. My mother and Stepa were also taken away - a man in the form showed on the step and said: this is also for the company. And on the way to Avtosak, he said that we are traitors, "Americans", we must be taken out of the country, we have no place here.
The son in Avtosak had never been, but I was, and I considered that it would be easier for him if we are there together
Anastasia: Three we behaved literally like bunnies. We didn’t even shout anything, because we don’t scream in chorus at all, and any choral slogans, up to hashtags, for example, cause objection to an aesthetic nature (maybe this is upsetting, but, excuse me, to the lantern). We went for a walk and we walked. The three were detained when we stood on an empty sidewalk and did nothing. We did nothing before, too, we just walked, but, which is important, and at the time of the detention there was no reason to detain us. My son was taken to a car gut after they saw a sticker on his chest (I do not say "because they saw the sticker", since the sticker did not violate anything). When they began to take him away, I had to turn my sticker in front of an unlikely person in a form similar to a police officer, and say: "I also have one!" - And then they took me too. How reasonably I acted - well, the big question: it is clear that there would be more benefit from me, but my son had never been to the autosak before, and I have been, and I considered that it would be easier for him if we were there together (unfortunately, as a result, we were there the three of them, and this, of course, is very fig).
And, in short: I wanted it to be not so. Since citizens in the Tverskaya Street - this was legal (and such an opinion was shared by the Supreme and Constitutional Courts), and to detain nothing to detain. Yes, I say this to Tongue in Cheek - we all understand where we live. However: detention, delivery, administrative offenses, administrative punishments, as well as police behavior during detention - this is not a category of vague Common Sense ("What did she want - she went there?"), These are clearly spelled out categories of law. Everything is stated about them, quite understandable, albeit very boring words. Including it is outlined about the illegality of the obstacle to peaceful meetings of citizens. And about illegal imprisonment. And more about a lot of things.
Boris Gryzunov
Boris: A man in the uniform broke my hand, dragged me to the car carrier, they searched me, put me in a car zak. There were about 30 people, which is clearly more than the norm. We were taken to the Preobrazhenskoye Internal Affairs Directorate, held in a car carrier for about an hour, brought out, built in the yard. A policeman approached us, poked into nine people, including my friend, took documents from us, and we were left in this police department. The rest were taken further, my mother turned out to be Sokolniki as a result, someone was taken to Sokolina Mountain.
It was only written in my protocol that I was a supporter of Navalny and follow his policy
The police officers who made up reports - on the basis of which the detention protocols were then written - there were amazing names, such as the sleeping, Lyakh and Eagle. Some kind of coupling, half a boutine and a moss beard. The same was written in the protocol: the police officer prevented the actions of a police officer while participating in an unauthorized rally “against corruption in the government”, shouted anti -government slogans, broke up, did not obey the legal requirements. Everyone who was with me in the department has exactly the same protocols. What is interesting: everyone has the same detention address: Tverskaya, 19, and the same detention time - 16.00. Although, for example, I was detained in Bolshoi Putinkovsky Lane at about 16.35. What is even more interesting, these protocols were drawn up in the SS, which police officers came to their phones. After that, already late at night, investigators from the Investigative Committee came - they conducted a "interrogation of a witness." At first they recorded the personal data of everyone, then asked the questions: how you found yourself at the scene of the incident, did you cause physical harm to police officers, and police officers - you are bodily harm on you. I refused to answer all these questions and referred to the 51st article of the Constitution. Therefore, in my protocol it was only written that I was a supporter of Navalny and follow his politics, because I, of course, did not take off the sticker from the coat.
Anastasia: to Navalny - like any person who seeks to operate with large numbers - I treat only with a polite interest: I am curious that he will succeed if/when it succeeds, and maybe I am ready, I don’t know, sign up for his nomination (for reasons, "we have already observed different many years here - let's see it now"), but a long memory Worse than a lot of things, and in words, for example, the “Russian March” with my long memory, everything dies right, sorry, I am for public purposes - a rootless cosmopolitan. At the same time, someone, in a form similar to the form of a policeman, detained me and my son because we had stickers about "Navalny 20! 8". And I understand how a contradiction can be seen in this, but it seems to me that at least in matters of tactics a decent person does not reopen from the minority. In a situation where people say: “went for a walk”, and then both of them and those who went for a walk, Vinty is unknown for - well, then those who came up with a walk, and those who came, are clearly a minority.
And this, by the way, is an interesting story about how easy it is to manipulate consciousness. This slogan at Navalny, about the battle between good and neutrality, is a brilliant, of course, example of manipulation, simple and effective. But with manipulation, the essence is not that she cannot be succumbed to - the bottom line is that if you succumb, at least realize that you succumb. In general, understand what you are doing and why. Controlled, sorry, stupidity and so on. So I succumbed to Tverskaya tactically and consciously.
Plus Tverskaya - it was not quite about Navalny. Navalny was here - well, just a focus tool. Lens. In fact, this was about the fact that there are some fairly numerous, but quite specific people (because people are always specific and they are always people, although it is quite difficult to remember this - it is much easier to depersonal, shield yourself to any social network), they are collected from sophisticated bulky structures and then pretend that they know how to, but in fact they know only what they themselves want, and since the structures are structures. The clumsy, bulky, heavy and can impose their will, people who make up these structures quite successfully use everyone else. For example, to me. I mean, corruption is a special case of the situation "people use people to their benefits." I understand that people are often inclined to do this, starting directly from an interpersonal micro level. I don’t like it so much, I’m disgusting, goodbye. A walk along Tverskaya Street of pure disgust - well, also a reason to go for a walk along the street, in the end, no worse than other reasons.
Boris: We spent the first night and next day in the Monkey. In my cell there were me, my friend Stepa and two students, beautiful smart people. The first night two of the four were sleeping just on the floor on jackets, then they brought us a tourist rug and a sleeping bag. The police in the department behaved much more moderate than the person who delayed me. Basically, they were some kind of tortured, fussing terribly. There was a special person - he seemed to be needed only to press the button that opened almost all the doors. The man was called Kolya, and the police, nervously running back and forth along the corridors, shouted: "Kohl, click, huh? Well, koh, click, huh?"
In the morning we were all taken out, they were allowed to insert belts into jeans and took us in a car carrier to the Tverskaya district court. Where they take us, only the driver knew - and thanks for that. In court, I met my lawyer, whom my mother called. He finally told him about his wanderings. I was judged by Alexey Vyacheslavovich Krivoruchko , a person who is, for example, in the Magnitsky list. The lawyer filed a motion to postpone the consideration of the case for several days in order to familiarize himself with the materials. The petition was partially satisfied - we were given ten minutes. Here I first saw the very reports on which they made up the protocol of my detention. The court did not deign to call my mother a witness. At the beginning of the meeting, they gave me the word - I spoke about the total discrepancy between the data in the protocol with reality. The judge nodded and said: Thank you, I heard you.
After that, we were brought out, we waited for the decree. The judge read it, swallowing every word-it said that the accused of that and this gave such and such evidence, actually denying his guilt. The court does not trust these testimonies, since they diverge from actual evidence. Actual evidence is, of course, a protocol and two reports. In short, by one o'clock I returned to the car carrier.
More than a thousand people, each shock and each has an injury. What can I say - the law enforcement authorities have well worked
We stood at the court for another three hours. Then they moved and went to the number one special receptionist on Simferopol Boulevard. We stood at the special reception for another 6 hours until about 11 pm, then they began to decorate us. I was one of the last, I went in only at three in the morning, and the step, as it turned out later, was taken back to the Preobrazhenskoye police department, and then 38 to the special receptionist on Petrovka, because in the court ruling they were sealed in his last name. I was designed in a camera where people were sitting, who had articles like “drunk driving” or “driving without rights” - more often both. And two more were from my auto -zak - an activist of Open Russia and another rally of 19 years. Later, the three of us, as non -smokers, were transferred to another camera at our request, where there were only four places (then it turned out that it was not a non -smoking camera, but a “medical insulator for patients”). There we spent two days and two nights in the company of a certain person who enthusiastically told us something about the numbers in the sky and about the future. Two days and two nights. And then I ended up in the cell where all the other rallys were sitting. And all the remaining time we played chess for days, in Erudit and discussed the Arab-Israeli relations, Mayakovsky, Alexander Blok and the existence of the word “puff”.

Anastasia: More than a thousand people detained. And all - with a violation of everything that can be broken. Then, all this thousand people were damaged by fifty police department, the Smoke’s ATS officers went from his ears (I do not sympathize with them), and there were also so many violations when drawing up the protocols that the eyes climb on the forehead. The formulations from the protocols ("shouted the slogans", "disobedience") - they wrote them off from smartphones; That is, they were sent to order what to write. Plus, when there are many confused people who did nothing illegal, they are suddenly detained and taken to the department, they panic and quickly get tired, talk with the police and it is difficult for them to read protocols correctly. More than a thousand people, each shock and each has an injury. Well, what can I say - the law enforcement agencies, yeah, have well worked.
There was no droplets or a single second we were terrible
Boris: The most important thing is not scary at all. There was no droplet or a single second we were terribly scary. But it was interesting-at every step either violations, or some inconsistencies that were ignored by both police officers and in court. They did not even bother to lie, just silent. This whole car does not look threatening, but shaky. My hypothesis - she closes her eyes on herself and only because it still stands.
Anastasia: I don’t know how it works in my head, but I can’t get myself at all at all. In the process, I could not make myself be surprised, although it would be an adequate reaction. Neither in Avtosak, nor in the ATS until half of the second night, nor when she read the protocols, nor when she listened from under the door the court session, where my eighteen-year-old son was given ten days. Something happens with the head-replacements of the norm, a failure in setting up prisms-and lawlessness and mess are no longer surprised. You don’t expect anything else. But all the way, the smart adequate people amazes (and delights, yeah), when, for example, the police behave according to the current legislation. Then smart adequate people are acutely grateful for this by the police. A curious effect, by the way.
When there is a conditional rear, those who have landed on a conditional front are not so scary
Against the backdrop of all this, human rights activists and volunteers - I have no words, how beautiful they are. "Memorial", which went to a special detention center on Petrovka, as to work; "Open Russia", which, by some miracle, provided lawyers with a crowd of confused citizens; Volunteers Lizabeth Nesterova, who carried transfers to specialists. Well, that is, theoretically, we always understood that the horizontal organization is the most effective (contrary to how the goblins are trying to arrange some kind of unfriendly people in this country), but to observe the live, how it works, is a striking something.
And this is a very important story - about the front and the rear. About the fact that when there is a conditional rear, those who landed on a conditional front (especially if they did not actually go to the front and got there inadvertently) is not so scary. And then they will also be afraid of less, if there is a rear.
It is more or less clear that, despite official statistics, there are much more dissatisfied in this country than the system tries to inspire the population. And when the system behaves how it behaved on March 26, it is stupid, viciously and so that it is acutely awkward - it is clear that this is not a calculation, but a panic. And her panic only increases the protest of normal living people - this is a normal reaction of a normal person to a madhouse. And this protest can be expressed differently. Walking the streets is an option.
