2015 Ban on totalitarian symbols in Ukraine
Two years ago, on April 9, 2015, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the law "On the condemnation of the communist and national socialist (Nazi) totalitarian regimes in Ukraine and the prohibition of propaganda of their symbols." As part of this law, many settlements and streets in them were renamed. So, Dnepropetrovsk became the Dnieper, and Krasnodon - Sorokin.
