A dining room for St. Petersburg deputies was allocated an additional 12 million rubles from the budget, most will be used to purchase dinners for people's chosen ones. According to the publication, the resolution on the allocation of the subsidy was signed by the governor of St. Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko on April 5. A subsidy from the city budget in the amount of 12 million rubles is provided for a free and irrevocable basis.

Of this amount, almost 2 million is allocated for the purchase of production equipment and furniture. About 10 million will go to the purchase of raw materials and finished food products, "intended for eating in the Mariinsky Palace."

The range of dishes financed at the expense of the treasury must be determined by the Committee on the Development of Entrepreneurship and the Consumer Market of St. Petersburg. In the dining room of the Mariinsky Palace, deputies, employees of the apparatus and guests of the city parliament are powered.

According to the Federal State Statistics Service, the revenue of the GUP "Canteen of the Mariinsky Palace" exceeds 25 million rubles a year, but its activity remains unprofitable.
