Peskov: meeting with Tillerson is not on Putin’s schedule

Russian President Vladimir Putin's meeting with US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is not included in the president's schedule, press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

“If she appears, and you know that he is coming and negotiations will be held with our foreign minister, we will inform you,” RIA Novosti quotes the words of the press secretary.

As the Russian Foreign Ministry reported , Tillerson will arrive in Moscow this week to discuss international security issues, primarily the fight against the Islamic State (an organization recognized as a terrorist organization and banned in Russia).

According to media reports, during a visit to Moscow, the US Secretary of State will show evidence that the Syrian authorities used sarin against residents of the city of Khan Sheikhoun.

This will be Tillerson's first visit to Russia as foreign policy chief of President Donald Trump's administration.
