In February 2014, David Bowie was awarded the Brit Awards music award as the best male artist. Speech was quite unexpectedly crowned with the phrase “Scotland, Stay with us!”. Then Scotland really remained with “us”, that is, with the UK, which was still part of the European Union. He, in turn, was in the best relationship with the United States. The referendum in September 2014, supporters of Scottish independence lost to the great relief of sane people.

A year and twenty -two days after the Scottish referendum, Bowie died. Five months and twenty -two days after his death, the referendum in Britain put an end to its membership in the EU. In Scotland, as in many other parts of the United Kingdom, this vote had a reverse result (62% - for “staying”, 38% - for “leaving the EU”) in general in the UK in order to leave the EU voted 51.9% of the population, and 48.1% in order to stay. It turned out that the Scots (like Londoners and many others) want to be Europeans, but the inhabitants of the Welsh town of Karmarten or the Big English city of Sheffield are not so far from the Scottish border - not.

So the question arose of repeating the Scottish referendum. Moreover, the Scottish parliament has already voted for the possibility of its holding (if the approval of London is given) between the fall of 2018 and in the spring of 2019. This time, the independence of Scotland seems to be a more sensible outcome than its presence on board the Great Britain dreadnought, which, as many people are convinced, goes to the bottom. And he goes voluntarily - no one shot at him and no one put Ming in his way.

This whole story - which, by the way, is in its beginning - suggests three versions, three directions of reflection, three options for explanation.
