The British band Gorillaz is actively promoting its first album in six years, Humanz, on social networks using materials made on the Russian service Glitché. The application allows you to apply artificial noise to the image and create GIF animations.
On February 27, the first picture using the Glitché filter appeared on the Instagram of artist Jamie Hewlett, who created the images of Gorillaz and is working on the artwork for the new record. It depicts a member of the group Noodle wearing multi-colored glasses.

Then the official Gorillaz account on Instagram published promotional pictures of the remaining members of the band, also made using a Russian application.



On March 23, a short video was published on the group’s Facebook with all the participants and interference from Glitché.
The short animation began to be used by musicians and major publications to illustrate news about Gorillaz.
At the same time, the release date of the new album appeared on Gorillaz’s Instagram : April 24. Each letter from its name became a separate image, which were later combined into one animation.
Then the creators of the service drew attention to the Gorillaz promo and thanked them for using the application.
On April 5, the group announced art exhibitions in three cities: Amsterdam, Berlin and Brooklyn. There you can listen to tracks from the new album and take part in a show, the details of which have not yet been revealed.
The teaser for the events featured short videos of the band members made using Glitché.

The musician's video for the song goosebumps, which is available exclusively on iTunes, also uses effects from the application, although the service's filters are not used in the video.

On March 22, Glitché debuted a commercial filter created in collaboration with the creators of the film Ghost in the Shell.
