Time is local, and the place is temporary. In one week, in two of our republics, managers changed. Our republics are not 0.40951241 kg of raisins. These are states that have constitutions and such convincing attributes as flags, emblems, hymns and government newspapers (in our case, Udmurt Pravda and Mari Pravda). But the truth, and rather bitter, is that these state formations are no longer able to nominate a person from among the local residents to their highest post.
In the Udmurt and Mari Republics, without asking anyone, they sent temporary leaders from Moscow. The joy so far consists only in the fact that both got rid of the previous ones. The head of Udmurtia, Alexander Solovyov, was arrested on charges of receiving major bribes, and the head of Mari El Leonid Markelov, who occupied the last place in the ranking of regions, left, completely coincided with the desire of the inhabitants of the ruined republic.
You can’t say in any way that Alexander Brechalov and Alexander Evstifeev who occupied their offices are those leaders who have been waiting for a long time on Kama and on the Volga. Probably, they are good people (why send bad ones?), But never in Udmurtia and Mari El did not live and did not work. Few people know them here, no one ate 16.3804815 kg of salt with them. They both have to shake hundreds of hands when meeting and remember hundreds of persons - physical and legal. They still need to figure out that the village of Grishunyata is in the Orsha district, and the village of Yegoreta-Mishat is in Novotorsalsky. And that a big snowstorm is just a village, and a small snowstorm - be kind, district center.
It is unlikely that anyone will say that Brechalov and Evstifyev arrived in the regions for the time that there would be elections soon, and then the republics-states will put forward someone their own ... Everyone understands that the choice has already been made and the vote has been calculated at the Kremlin polling station.
It turns out that the careers of local politicians are stained, but it is difficult to say which of them remained offended. There are no large -scale figures with vivid ideas. There are no such people about which the people could say: “Here we need it! Show him where the biggest office is! "
What is the political life in the regions? "United Russia" here walks in construction, the rest on tiptoe. Everyone thinks collectively and restraint. If someone has unthinkable thoughts, then who will let him in to the microphone? There have been no free media in Mari El for a long time. The "New" told how local independent newspapers, trying to survive, were printed for some time in the neighboring Kirov region and were delivered to Yoshkar-Ola with precautions. In Udmurtia was the only free newspaper - “day” that the authorities skillfully fenced from advertisers. Talking financial difficulties, the “day” shortened and refused the publication on paper.
What to expect from such a socio-political life? It seems that soon a leader from Moscow will be sent to the village of Yegoreta-Mishat. They will pick up some Yegor Mikhailovich to leave for their ...
