Applicants for March 26 shares go to court

In the regions of Russia, courts are underway on the claims of the organizers of anti-corruption actions on March 26 to the city authorities in connection with refusals to coordinate the actions. In Khabarovsk, the Central District Court refused to satisfy such a claim during the court session; in Kazan, the claim was not accepted. The court in Khabarovsk considered the wording “we do not recommend holding the event” contained in the city administration's response to the application of the rally organizers acceptable and justified. According to the authorities, the organizers “did not have any idea about ensuring the safety of citizens,” which is why they were advised not to hold the rally. In addition, there was no free venue in Khabarovsk for an event with a large number of participants.

On March 20, the organizers of the rally were fined 10,000 rubles for calling on people to come out on the 26th for a rally that by that time had not been agreed upon and the venue for which was not known - they campaigned in advance. One of the organizers of the event, Aleksey Vorsin, came to the administration of Khabarovsk to get a response to his notice of the rally. In the administration, he was met by employees of the Center for Combating Extremism and drew up a protocol for organizing the rally illegally.

Vorsin commented on the court's decision on the lawsuit against the administration as follows:

The court issued a politically motivated decision. The administration of Khabarovsk literally violated the rights of citizens to assemble peacefully and without weapons. In general, it is clear that the decision on this was not made in Khabarovsk, but centrally in Moscow, in the same way pressure was put on the court. As a result, the court made a decision, acting in concert with the administration. We will appeal this decision, as we believe that we were right, we had the right to assemble, and the administration of Khabarovsk, by its actions, stopped this right

The Vakhitovsky District Court of Kazan refused to accept a lawsuit against the city authorities against the head of the local election headquarters of Navalny and the applicant for the rally on March 26, Elvira Dmitrieva. On March 24, the same court recognized as illegal the refusal of the Kazan administration to agree on the event announced for the 26th and ordered the authorities to reconsider their decision - but despite the court order, this was not done and, in fact, the administration never agreed on the rally. This is exactly what was stated in the lawsuit. However, the court did not accept the claim due to the fact that a court decision has already been made on the issue under consideration and no new circumstances have been discovered:
