
In St. Petersburg, a monument of toothache was created. The author, the artist Maryana Shumkova, used human teeth removed as part of the city campaign "Tooth for health". In total, 403 teeth were collected for the art object. This was told by the organizers of the project.
According to her, she sought to make a frightening figure, because "only a strong emotional effect can make a person think about such a simple and mundane thing as hygiene."


- Of course, the most shocking in this work is the unification of artificial materials and natural human teeth. The sculpture turned out to be very naturalistic, but because of the deformed features of the human face-quite frightening, ”said the author of the sculpture.
So far, a toothache monument is located in the clinic of the Clinic of a good dentist at 10 people's militia, 10. But now the possibility of placing sculpture in exhibition spaces is being discussed.
