Businessman Mikhail Prokhorov “fundamentally agreed” with the owner of the ECH Grigory Berezkin for the sale of “RBC”, writes Vedomosti. According to the publication, the transaction may be signed before May 1.

Sources of Vedomosti said that the Buyer was found by the VTB-Capital group. At the same time, the intention to sell the holding and other assets of Prokhorov stated in the spring of 2016. At the same time, RBC was left by the editor-in-chief of Elizabeth Ossetian, editor-in-chief of the site Roman Badanin and most of the key employees of the publication. However, according to the interlocutors of Vedomosti, Prokhorov could not find the buyer.

The upcoming transaction was also reported by RNS. The source of the agency said, "now for Mikhail Prokhorov this is rather a forced step, dictating the political situation that will not be done." He also said that the transaction could be signed within a month.
