The court closed the administrative case against the Lipetsk activist

The Soviet District Court of the city of Lipetsk terminated the proceedings under Part 1 of Art. 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (propaganda or demonstration of Nazi paraphernalia) in relation to the activist of the Russian United National Alliance (RONA) Maxim Tsurashenko. This was reported to OVD-Info by the leader of the RONA, Oleg Filatchev, who spoke in court as a public defender of Tsurashenko.

The police considered it similar to Nazi symbols. At the last meeting, an employee of the Center for Pediatrics petitioned for an examination.

However, the expert came to the conclusion that the RONA symbols are in no way Nazi symbols, are not similar to it, and cannot be perceived in the minds of citizens as confusingly similar to Nazi symbols. As a result, the court decided to dismiss the case.

A year ago, Tsurashenko was fined under Part 1 of Art. 20.3 for a satirical post on the VKontakte social network about National Socialist Germany with an attached picture in the form of a laughing emoticon and a retouched swastika.
