“The opera appeared rather as a literary experiment, and well -known literary texts became the basis of opera libretto. Such a symbiosis of two types of art lasts all four centuries of the existence of the opera genre. Orpheus, Don Juan, Tristan and Isolde - these characters became cult figures largely thanks to the operas, ” the Facebook page said in a message on the project page .
At the first meeting of the club, theater expert Ilya Kukharenko will tell you about Orpheus and the meaning of the myth of it for the opera genre.
In the program of the evening, music from the operas of Monteverdi and Gluck, fragments of films by Jean Cocte and Marseille, the texts of the Apoliner, Tsvetaeva, Rilke, Akhmatova, Tarkovsky, Pasternaka, Blanchi and Anuya.
The moderator of the meeting is the violinist Lena Revich.
