The first channel will unite the Directorate of Internet Broadcasting and the Directorate of Public Relations. The new division will be headed by the head of the public relations directorate Larisa Krymova. This information was confirmed to Meduza by a source on Channel One.

The decision to merge the two divisions was made after Ilya Bulavinov, the head of Internet broadcasting, moved to the position of editor-in-chief of the Vedomosti newspaper.

Earlier, the RNS agency reported on the appointment of Krymova as the head of the joint directorate . A source close to Channel One said that "Krymova and Bulavinov worked side by side for a long time," and "the directorate for external communications is really more connected with the directorate of Internet broadcasting than others."
