Beslan's report, which waited for the main day

Today in Beslan in many houses - a curle, a feast. A CUD in Ossetia is a holiday for a good reason: the son returned from the army, someone was sick and finally recovered. Yes, and just on a Sunday day - this is also an occasion to assemble a curl.

But today's CUED is special. Once in a life this happens. Today, the European Court of Human Rights has made a decision, which has been waiting for 10 years here. The European Court recognized: during the counter -terrorism operation on September 1–3, 2004, Russia violated the basic rights of hostages, and most importantly: their right to life.

Many in Beslan all these years lived in anticipation of today. This expectation was the engine of life - and with all its meaning. People, who in that terrible September who lost their children, who buried with the dead and their own lives - they waited, they achieved.

In the courtyard of the house of Ella Kesaeva and Emma Tagaeva, fifty people gathered - those who managed and was able to come today. The House of Ella and Emma is the headquarters of the Beslan Voice organization, which has been in producing the truth since 2005 about what actually had happened in the first school. Ella hostage had a daughter. Emma did not return from school a husband, both of the teenage son. These women were able to melt their grief in unprecedented power. And it was important for the people who came to their house today in a small courtyard right opposite the torn school. Meet him shoulder to shoulder - exactly the way they lived all these years. Mothers, aunts, sisters are sitting in the kitchen. Nonna Kisieva (the son and grandson died at the school), Sveta Bugulova (her daughter survived, grandson was buried), Sveta Bigaev (three sons hostage), Larisa Dzagoev (daughter died) and others, others ...

“I am measured, I like to cook with my soul,” Zhanna Tsirikhova (was hostage with two children, her daughter died) kneads a dzikka, thick Ossetian porridge. In a large basin of women, a month dough for Ossetian pies. For the first time in more than 12 years in this house, festive three pieces on the table! The oil smell is fried, the air smells of satiety. Beautiful girls with black eyebrows help lay the pickles on plates - these are those who were at school No. 1. Beslan is already very warm, and men, fathers, almost all in flat caps, black light jackets are sitting at a table in the yard. Tamerlan Safkuev (buried his daughter, son -in -law, grandson), Valery Nazarov (buried his wife, daughter, grandson, granddaughter), Vladimir Tomaev (wife and daughter), Boris Ilyin (buried all) and others, others ...

They are quietly talking among themselves.

Opposite the new building of school No. 1 (across the road from the old) women in the sundresses are whitened by trees. The sun is pleasing to the back. The school today has a trial exam for eleventh graders, all in white shirts. In the neighborhood - a sports complex of red brick. Today at three in the afternoon the republican boxing competition.

Good cows graze along the road. Beslan is as quiet as it was then in 2004. But he is no longer the same. And it will never be the same.

Ella Kesaeva enters the yard about eleven o’clock. She loudly, a little confused pronounces only two words:

- We won!

A minute earlier, Ella was called lawyer Kirill Koroteev, and he announced the news, for the sake of which everyone gathered today. There are no details yet, only this news. People timidly, as if not believing, begin to congratulate each other, hug.

-Well, what, someone will be punished now? - asks Zalina Tokaeva, who was hostage with her mother. Zalina got out, saved herself, and her mother died after the attack. “Yes, on our street, many died, one might say, the street has been updated,” the girl says easily and even frivolously.

But Zalina knows the main thing: probably, it was necessary to survive so that she appeared - and shows the one -year -old Veronica, who sucks the nipple.

“This is only the beginning,” Ella says quietly.

This quiet, long -awaited CUEN continues. New people come, they say in an undertone. Swallows fly over the table - they have a nest under their roof. Men take turns raising toasts, thank each other - those who have reached the end. Sigh: "It has gone easier."

Soon they are going to go to the cemetery. New, it spread out at all nearby - and that is called: "Children's."

The Voice of Beslan filed a complaint with the ECHR on June 25, 2007. The lawsuit was called "Tagaeva and others against Russia." In 2011, the victims managed to collect more than a thousand signatures of the residents of Beslan under a request for the consideration of Beslan’s case in a priority order.

“We, as fanatics, gathered people, their testimony, until 2013 worked almost without lawyers, ourselves,” recalls Ella.

Ten years that have passed since the complaint, it does not seem to them that this is long. But how much did you fit in these years! Now it seems that I don’t remember how they were intimidated, how these brave, elderly for the most part were dragged into police plots and courts. As they were called the enemies of their homeland - for this formulation "Tagaev and others against Russia."

But they were never against Russia. They were for their children.

“We counted on such terms, it does not surprise us,” says Ella Kesaeva. - When in 2007 we sent documents, we said: we must live long. We will be patient.

The complaint has 447 applicants. Twelve people of these 447 did not wait, did not live. Among them are the father of Emma and Ella.

While the complaint was considered in Strasbourg, many children were eighteen, and the names of their parents, fifty at once, were also deleted from the applicants' list. Two applicants abandoned their claims to Russia of their own free will. It probably seemed to them that it was long to wait.

In general, the decision of Strasbourg is a new circumstance that has opened, which gives the right to resume a criminal case in Russia. But where to get the life to give it to this matter?

“No matter how he wanted to forget about Beslan, we will remind him,” says Sveta Margiev. - We will not let you forget.

Emma sighs deeply:

- If we, as mothers, felt that everything possible to investigate in Russia ... well, it happened, you won’t return it anymore. But if we saw that the state was trying for the victims, that they repent, that they pleaded guilty, these courts would not have been for so many years, probably.

- I would say: "I'm to blame, forgive me." This is how it should be. What are we, not people, or what?

- For many years, as the first number has come - we waited for condolences to bring. But he does not want to remember.

- We look at ourselves: and we are the same as when we were young - crazy. But nothing has changed! In the same way, we go to do impudent things. In general, we are in kind: we must pay for spilled blood, it went from our ancestors. But we are already civilized. We want to be respected, we do not want blood to anyone. The only thing we want: that the perpetrators public publicly be judged so that an open legal process.

Now that there is a decision of the ECHR, Ella says: Beslan is finally ready to forgive and forget everything. True is recognized. The rest fades and does not matter.

“Forgive everyone - except those who killed the children,” she adds. - And everything else is nonsense. At least to people we will be clean. They did everything they could.

The Kremlin reacted to the decision of the ECHR in the case of Beslan, calling the conclusion of the court "unacceptable." “It is impossible for us to be attacked by terrorists who have repeatedly agreed with such a wording,” said Presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov.

Later, the Ministry of Justice of Russia said that he would appeal the decision of the European Court of Human Rights.
