A teenager who was injured in a bomb explosion in St. Petersburg made it himself. This was reported on the website of the St. Petersburg Department of the Investigative Committee.
“From the materials of the criminal case, it follows that the minor is a first-year student at one of the universities in St. Petersburg. Taking a great interest in chemistry, he, in particular, made an improvised explosive device, ”the IC said in a statement.
The investigation opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Art. 222.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illicit trafficking in explosives or explosive devices).
“Now the teenager is in the hospital. Investigators of the Main Investigative Directorate of the ICR in St. Petersburg will begin to carry out investigative actions with him in agreement with the doctors, only after his state of health allows, ”the Investigative Committee noted.
The day before, in St. Petersburg, near the library named after Chernyshevsky on Vasilyevsky Island, an explosive device went off in the hands of a young man. The victim was hospitalized in the Children's Hospital No. 2 of St. Mary Magdalene.
Recall that on April 6, in Rostov-on-Don, a bomb disguised as a flashlight exploded in the hands of a man. Later it became known that the explosive device was planted by a friend of the victim after the conflict.
