Truckers were going to make a rally, protesting against the Plato system. About 50 cars were supposed to participate in it. The flags of the association of carriers of Russia were strengthened by cars. However, at the gas station on Moskovsky Prospekt, the column was stopped by traffic police officers.
The police put in their car one of the participants in the action of Igor Veresov. The protesters surrounded the police car. After the activist got out of the car, he was detained. The truckers clapped their hands and tried to protect Veresov. At this moment, the employees of the National Guard or OMON ran up to the protesters and began detention. The participants of the action chanted: "Shame!" Among the detainees are the chairman of the OPR Andrei Bazhutin and the coordinator of the St. Petersburg branch Sergey Vladimirov.
The detainees were taken to the police department of the city of Pushkin. Their comrades came to the police department. The detainees are charged with an “unauthorized automotive racket” and disobedience to the requirements of the police, the OVD-Info reports .
