The organizer of the anti-corruption action in Sochi was left in police custody overnight

The organizer of the Sochi action against corruption, Suren Yedigarov, was left at the police department for the night to await trial. This is reported by "Caucasian Knot" with reference to the activist. The protesters insist on their innocence, because the rally was held in Hyde Park and did not require approval.

“The district police officer said that he was closing me until tomorrow, before the trial, because of my guilt. When asked why they didn’t take him to court today, he answered that there was no judge on duty in Khost. When asked why they were shutting me down and not letting me go home until the trial, I answered that I had committed an offense. They didn’t provide me with a lawyer, and food too,” Yedigarov managed to tell before his phone was taken from him.

The action took place on the morning of April 16, eight people were detained in total. Decisions on the rest of the detainees have not yet been taken.
