The court rejected the FSIN's submission on Navalny

The Simonovsky Court of Moscow did not accept for consideration the submission of the Federal Penitentiary Service demanding to oblige the opposition leader Alexei Navalny not to commit administrative offenses. This is reported by RIA Novosti.

According to the Criminal Executive Code of the Russian Federation, this additional obligation is imposed “in case of non-compliance by the conditionally convicted ... requirements (probation), as well as in the presence of other circumstances indicating the appropriateness” of such a measure.

In case of further violations, the Federal Penitentiary Service may require that the probation be changed to another type of punishment.

On April 12, the Federal Penitentiary Service asked the court to oblige politician Alexei Navalny to refrain from committing administrative offenses. The reason for submitting the appeal was another administrative arrest of Navalny for 15 days for disobedience to law enforcement officers during a protest in the center of Moscow on March 26.

On March 26, the Tverskoy District Court of Moscow arrested Navalny for 15 days. He was found guilty of disobeying the lawful order of a police officer (Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). Earlier, the court fined the politician 20 thousand rubles under Article 20.2.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (organization of a non-public event).
