The preliminary investigation into the criminal case of a Vologda activist has been completed

In Gryazotsva, a preliminary investigation into the case of civil activist Yevgeny Domozhirov has been completed. He is accused of slander (Part 2, Article 128 of the Criminal Code), publicly insulting a police officer (Article 319 of the Criminal Code) and inciting hatred against the social group “Vologda police officers” (Part 1 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code). This was reported by Domozhirov's lawyer Vitaly Cherkasov.

According to the lawyer, Domozhirov accused the regional prosecutor of "covering" a local businesswoman. After that, the woman wrote a statement of slander against the activist.

That day, late in the evening, the police came to search Domozhirov's country house. The activist, not realizing who had arrived, rudely asked people to leave. Later, his answer became the reason for initiating a case under Art. 319 of the Criminal Code (public insult of a representative of the authorities).

The elderly mother of the politician blocked the way for the police, who wanted to conduct a search, demanding to show the necessary documents. The staff tried to force their way in and as a result injured the woman's hand. At the end of March, she was fined six thousand rubles, having been found guilty of publicly insulting a police officer (under Article 319 of the Criminal Code).

Domozhirov wrote an emotional post on social media after his mother's hand was injured. This post was the reason for the accusation of inciting hatred against the "Vologda police officers."
