The presidential administration has begun preparations for a large-scale campaign to discredit Alexei Navalny using videos, films and video games on the Internet, informed sources told the Dozhd TV channel.
According to the channel’s interlocutors, the internal policy department will deal with discrediting Navalny. One of the sources claims that the head of the department, Andrei Yarin, will be personally responsible for the campaign.
Another source says that a certain “external department” has already been created: “Clips, films and video games that discredit Navalny are shot outsourced. They are fighting much like they are fighting Hitler.” The work of this department is allegedly supervised by the deputy head of the presidential internal political department, Alexander Kharichev.
Dozhd’s interlocutors say that the Kremlin allegedly did not consider Navalny a serious threat for a long time, but the situation changed after the release of the film “He’s Not Dimon for You” about Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and the protests on March 26.
Alexey Navalny intends to participate in the presidential elections in 2018 and has already begun his election campaign. He collected more than 300 thousand “future signatures” in his support for the presidential election. Prior to this, the politician participated in the elections for the mayor of Moscow and took second place.
