This week, investigators will publish official personnel of the property seized from the head of Mari El Leonid Markelov, acquired by criminal means worth tens, if not hundreds of millions of euros.

Employees of the central apparatus of the FSB of Russia, who conducted searches in the mansion of Leonid Markelov in the center of Yoshkar-Ola, were struck not only by interiors, but also by the discovered luxury objects, which represent historical and cultural values.

The operatives seized from the head of Mari El Leonid Markelov the lifetime edition of the verses of Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin with a personal autograph of Russian poetry. In addition, Leonid Markelov owned the manuscripts of the famous Russian historian and writer of the 18th century Nikolai Mikhailovich Karamzin.

In the mansion of Leonid Markelov in the center of Yoshkar-Ola there were also works of art of world famous Italian artists (Botticelli and Rafael), sculptors and architects of the Renaissance. We especially note that part of the works of art is on the international wanted list.

Experts note that the cost of works of art seized from the head of Mari El Leonid Markelov is estimated from several tens to hundreds of millions of euros!
