
The Leninsky District Court of Novorossiysk refused the parole of the activist of the United Communist Party Daria Polyudova. This was reported by the Public Verdict Foundation, whose lawyer Irina Biryukova represents the interests of the political prisoner.
Representatives of the Novorossiysk colony-settlement No. 10 presented to the court the characteristics and conclusions of the commission prepared for the court to replace the type of punishment with the softer, which took place at the end of December. To the remark of protection, representatives of the KP-10 said that during this time "nothing has changed, so there are no new characteristics." They actually admitted that the characteristic is copied from the previous case, because "the character of a person does not change."
The court rejected Polyudova’s petition, indicating that the political prisoner "did not take the path of correction, did not plead guilty and acts of crimes." Protection will appeal the court decision, including in connection with the procedural violations committed.
An activist sentenced to a two-year period has been in KP-10 from April 20 last year. Since she spent six months at the investigation stage, in imprisonment she remains for six months - until October.
Polyudova sentenced the judge of the Oktyabrsky District Court of Krasnodar Oleg Goncharov ( 
Polyudova was announced guilty under Part 1 of Article 280 (public calls for extremism), part 2 of the same article (public calls for extremism via the Internet) and parts 2 of Article 280.1 of the Criminal Code (public calls for separatism over the Internet). The activist was convicted of preparing the march for the federalization of the Kuban, a single picket against the war with Ukraine and publication on VKontakte. She herself did not admit guilt.
On August 10, 2016, the chairman of the Leninsky District Court, Alexander Voloshin, refused Polyudova to Udo . On September 20, the decision was confirmed by the regional court. On January 20 of this year, it became known that the political prisoner filed a supervisory complaint against the Presidium of the Supreme Court.
On December 27, 2016, the judge of the Leninsky District Court of Novorossiysk Svetlana Pupinin made a decision to refuse to mitigate Polyudovaya punishment - replacing the unsenten part of the term in a colony -settlement with a restriction of freedom. At the same time, the activist was notified of the upcoming proceedings untimely - only three hours before the start of the meeting. On February 21, the judge of the Krasnodar Kraisud Irina Kurilenko rejected the appeal of the political prisoner against the decision of the district court. Consideration of the complaint took less than a minute.
Tatyana Polyudova, mother of the activist, turned to the protection of Polyudova Biryukova in February, after the activist’s mother turned to the Public Verdict. Polyudova Sr. said that the prisoners of the colonies continue to mock her daughter with the connivance of the administration. Political prisoner is prevented from cooking, dialing water, refusing to sit with her in the dining room at the same table, constantly pull it, etc. In support of the persecution, they declare: "We do not need political prisoners here, the political prisoners should sit separately." At the same time, they demand from Polyudov to admit the blame for the case.
