
President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev suggested legally to prohibit young people to let go of a beard, and girls "completely cover themselves with black robes." This was announced today by the press service of the president following the meeting of Nazarbayev with representatives of the spiritual department of Muslims of Kazakhstan.
Nazarbayev drew special attention to the manifestations of the religious unluckiness of the young generation. "As a result of non -altitude, our young people let go of the beard and cut their pants. The number of Kazakh girls who completely cover themselves with black robes is increasing. This does not correspond to either our traditions or our people," the statement said.
“It is necessary to work out the issue of prohibition of this at the legislative level,” the head of state is sure. “Kazakhs put on black clothes in a mourning time,” he recalled.
The President of Kazakhstan emphasized the lack of communication between black robes and religion in Kazakh culture.
