Exxonmobil asks to exclude a contract with Rosneft from the sanctions regime

The US oil concern Exxonmobil asks the US Department of Finance to allow him to resume joint projects with Rosneft on the Black Sea, which were frozen after Rosneft became the object of American sanctions imposed for the annexation of Russia of Crimea and supporting separatists in eastern Ukraine. According to Exxon Mobil, the company will lose the rights to oil exploration on the Black Sea, if there are no exceptions for it, because its foreign competitors are not burdened with the same restrictions on their governments.
