Tomsk residents will rally “against Putin’s fourth term”

On April 29, Tomsk will host an “Open Russia” rally against the next term of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The main slogan of the event is “I'm tired of it.”

“The main goal of the #TIRED action is no longer simply to express the attitude towards the activities of the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin. during a rally or picket, and through official written statements, demand that he comply with the Constitution of the Russian Federation, in particular, the principle of rotation of power, and not put forward his candidacy in the 2018 elections,” says the appeal from the organizers of the action.

According to Alexei Pryanishnikov, coordinator of Open Russia in Tomsk, the mayor’s office has agreed on a rally for April 29. The action will take place on Novo-Cathedral Square from 14:00 to 17:00.

In addition, activists planned a protest march along Kirov and Lenin Avenue to Novo-Cathedral Square, but the authorities did not approve it, citing the fact that “other mass events would be held in places located along the declared route.”

Let us add that such a picket was also approved by the authorities of Novosibirsk. It is also planned to hold pickets in Moscow, St. Petersburg and other Russian cities.
