The detainee was charged with aiding terrorism. It is alleged that he helped transfer money spent on the preparation of the attack and keep in touch with the emissaries of international terrorist organizations.

The younger brother, Abror Azimov, is charged with paragraph "b" of part 3 of article 205 (a terrorist attack that entailed the death of a person) and part 2 of article 222.1 of the Criminal Code (illegal circulation of explosives within a group of persons). According to the plot of the case, the suspect was engaged in the preparation of Akbardzhon Jalilov, who is considered the direct executor of the attack, exploding in the subway.

The suspect himself insisted that he had no direct attitude to the attack. According to him, he received teams from an unknown person and did not know that he was participating in the organization of the crime.

There are 10 defendants in total. Eight others were arrested in Moscow and St. Petersburg on April 7 .
