The FSB announced the deportation to the DPR of a Ukrainian spy detained in Samara

A citizen of Ukraine detained in Samara on suspicion of working for Ukrainian intelligence was deported to the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic, TASS reports citing the press service of the regional department of the FSB.

“A citizen of Ukraine, previously detained in Samara on suspicion of working for Ukrainian intelligence, was deported to the territory of the DPR for further proceedings,” the agency’s interlocutor said.

A RIA Novosti source in law enforcement agencies reported the detention of an alleged Ukrainian intelligence officer in Samara on April 13. According to the FSB, the 27-year-old Ukrainian was part of the “Spetsrezerv” unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

The agency’s interlocutor claimed that during interrogation the man admitted to carrying out “visual reconnaissance of military and transport infrastructure facilities in the unrecognized Donetsk People’s Republic, Rostov and Samara regions.”
