Navalny's ally Nikolai Lyaskin was released after 25 days of arrest for participating in a rally

The head of the Moscow branch of the Progress Party, Nikolai Lyaskin, who received 25 days of arrest for participating in a rally in Moscow, was released. Politician Alexei Navalny announced this on Twitter.

Lyaskin was detained on March 26 during a procession on Tverskaya Street. According to the activist, he was beaten in the paddy wagon. After his arrest, Lyaskin was taken to the hospital, where he spent the night, in the morning he was taken to the police department, and from there to the Tverskoy District Court in a car with flashing lights.

He was charged with violating Part 8 of Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code (repeated violation of the established procedure for organizing or holding a demonstration) and was sentenced to 25 days of administrative arrest.
