Tesla, Elon Musk's electric car company, will recall 53,000 vehicles due to possible problems with the electronic parking brake.
Some S and X models may have trouble releasing the brakes due to a defect made by a third party parts manufacturer. The company notes that this problem, in their opinion, does not pose a danger to car owners.
The marriage was found in cars produced between February and October 2016. in a statement Tesla said that fewer than five percent of the cars that will have their brakes replaced are likely to have problems. It will take about 45 minutes to change the brakes, according to the company.
In total, Tesla produced 83,922 vehicles in 2016, according to Reuters. Thus, almost two-thirds of the cars produced last year will be recalled.
