Andrey Grishin, editor-in-chief of the Vecherniy Magadan newspaper, was fired over a Facebook post about Russia's deputy representative to the UN, Vladimir Safronkov. Grishin wrote about this on his page on the social network.

On Friday, they called me and asked me to come to the conversation. During it, representatives of the mayor's office of Magadan, the founder of the publication, announced with regret that I would have to write a letter of resignation. The reason: just a post on my personal Facebook page (the place of work is not even indicated there), where, under the repost of the news that the Kremlin supported the Russian representative to the UN, I suggested that next time Safronkov use courtyard receptions. He also advised our Foreign Ministry to get a new uniform - sports suits and pointed shoes.
