The place of the deceased senator Vadim Tulipanov in the Federation Council will be occupied by the head of the ethnocultural center of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug Valentin Zganich. This was reported by Interfax with reference to the administration of the governor of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug.

Zganich was one of the three candidates for senators, whom the governor of the district nominated during the elections.

The death of Senator Tyulpanov became known on April 4. SK in St. Petersburg reported that Vadim Tyulpanov was in the health center. There he slipped and received an injury when falling. According to Fontanka, he was in the bathhouse. Interfax clarified that the senator received a fracture of the base of the skull.

The forensic medical examination found that the cause of his death was “acute heart failure and other forms of acute coronary heart disease,” Tulipov’s press service said .
