From the first day of its existence, Majlis was a bone in the throat at the thieving Crimean nomenclature that overeating the peninsula under Kyiv and continued to gang under Moscow. The very appearance of the Mejlis was a reminder of the stolen autonomy - after all, the Republic of Crimea was not restored for the settlers who came to the Crimean Tatars that were empty after deportation of the house and representatives of other indigenous peoples of Crimea. Restored - after selfless Crimean Tatar protests in Moscow - precisely for the realization of the rights of indigenous peoples. Of which at the end of the century, in fact, only the Crimean Tatars remained.

As a result, autonomy was not for returning and not for visitors. It turned out for the "goblins". For bandits. Kyiv suffered this autonomy under Kravchuk, and under Kuchma and Yushchenko - because he believed that the loyalty of the Crimean nomenclature ensures stability in the Crimea. At the same time, Majlis remained an annoying obstacle on the path to final stability. They talked with his leaders, but things did not go anywhere further.

Yanukovych went on. For him, Crimea was another source of enrichment. The Pahan sent a whole team “looking” from Makeevka to the peninsula, named after a misunderstanding of the Crimean government. Crimean "brothers" - as, indeed, to the "brothers" from other regions - the role of the cartridges and dividing part of the stolen part remained. Majlis did not fit into this design. And Yanukovych - even before the occupation of the peninsula - went along the path of creating fake Crimean Tatar organizations.

He didn’t succeed, of course. Like Putin, Yanukovych did not understand one simple thing. Majlis is not a public organization. Majlis is a folk parliament. And people cannot be replaced.

Putin is not trying to replace this people. He is mocking him. The main task of the invaders and their minions in the Crimea is to squeeze the Crimean Tatars from their homeland, and to turn the remaining into a frightened silent mass. This, in fact, is exactly what the invaders have not even been engaged in since 2014, but from 1783. The eternal, indelible shame of Russian history. Conscious, cruel destruction and slander of someone else's civilization. The replacement of this civilization with a useless base - Russia never managed to defend Sevastopol - and a sore Soviet resort.

Therefore, is it surprised that the Crimean Tatars want their homeland to be with Ukraine, and not with Russia? Ukraine - with all its shortcomings - until 2014, at least did not prevent them from breathing. Under Russia, you can breathe only with a loop on the neck - and this breath, familiar to the average Russian, is offensive to the people, in the struggle of his homeland.

Russia will not cancel the ban on the Mejlis. After all, to fulfill the decision of the UN International Court is not just to question the conclusions of its own “justice”, but also to resolve free elections, even for one people. And to get legitimate representatives of this people who enjoy much greater confidence than a variety of Crimean Gauliers. It is impossible to imagine this. Therefore, the Kremlin once again spit on international justice in the face. At first, he will not fulfill the court decision, then he will block the binding decision of the Security Council - and goodbye.

But the bone in the Kremlin throat will not disappear from this. Crimea - no matter what Russian chauvinists imagine there - will still remain Crimean Tatar, and not the invaders. Now from the point of view of international justice.
