Ildar Dadin filed a claim for compensation for unlawful persecution

Ildar Dadin filed a claim for compensation for unlawful criminal prosecution in the Zheleznodorozhny City Court of the Moscow Region. The amount of demands is five million rubles, writes TASS.

According to the lawyer, Dadin demands compensation for the damage caused to him by illegal prosecution, as well as detention under house arrest and detention for more than two years.

The activist’s sentence under Article 212.1 of the Criminal Code for repeated violations of the rules for holding a rally was overturned by the Presidium of the Supreme Court on February 22. In April, employees of Colony No. 5 in the Altai Territory sent Dadin a letter of apology and wrote about his right to rehabilitation.
