Details of the charges brought against one of those arrested in the Moscow “March 26 Case” have emerged - Yuri Kuliy is actually accused of putting his hand on the shoulder of a riot policeman . Another arrestee, Alexander Shpakov, who allegedly beat the lieutenant colonel, told how he was beaten during his arrest at the rally. A criminal case in the wake of March 26 has loomed in Petrozavodsk. Nationalist Vyacheslav Maltsev and his assistant Konstantin Zelenin, detained in connection with March 26, were placed under administrative arrest for 15 days. Due to the events of March 26, authorities in several regions have tightened restrictions related to freedom of assembly. In Tomsk, the local Hyde Parkwas moved from the center to the industrial zone. In Samara, the one where the action took place on March 26 was excluded from the list of “Hyde parks”. In Tatarstan, the rules for submitting notification of an event have become more complicated .

Troubles began for the applicants of the “Fed up” shares on April 29. The organizer of the action in Novosibirsk (which was agreed upon!) was threatened with a criminal case under an extremist article.

Insults and persecution of believers

Jehovah's Witnesses were recognized as an extremist organization and liquidated. During the debate on this case, representatives of the Ministry of Justice asked to liquidate all local Witness organizations.

You are not allowed to take pictures with Easter eggs. An employee of the Dozhd TV channel, Pavel Lobkov, was detained in Moscow for taking photographs in a phallus costume near an installation with an Easter egg. And in Chuvashia, activists were detained for eggs with the inscription “Freedom for Maltsev” (see above).

Other restrictions on assembly

Things were hot in St. Petersburg at the end of last week: truckers , activists of the “Other Russia” were detained here for the “Taking of Smolny” action (they were kept in police custody for two days) and participants in the “New Opposition” walk (they also spent two nights in police custody ). In Sochi, participants in an anti-corruption rally in Hyde Park were detained and later subjected to administrative arrest . In Moscow they tried to disperse a truck stop. In Transbaikalia, a man who was picketing against the Platon system was arrested for five days.

Criminal prosecutions

In Karelia and the Kirov region, cases of false denunciation are opened against prisoners who claim torture.

Kuban activist Daria Polyudova was denied parole . She was accused of calling for extremism and separatism for her posts on the VKontakte social network. Another “network separatist,” Vladimir Khagdaev from Buryatia,was sentenced to three years probation by the court.

The co-chairman of the Ethnopolitical Association “Russians”, Alexander Belov, had his sentence reduced from seven and a half to three and a half years in prison. Belov was convicted on charges of money laundering, inciting hatred, creating an extremist community and calls for extremism.
