The Duma adopted a law on restrictions for online cinemas

The State Duma has adopted a law establishing restrictions in the property structure of online cinemas. This was reported in the document card on the website of the lower house.

According to the adopted law, the owner of the online cinema can be a Russian citizen who does not have citizenship of another state, or a Russian company.

The capital of foreign companies and investors is limited to 20%, as was previously done for the media.

We are talking about services whose audience is more than 1,100 thousand Russians per month.

The bill was prepared by the deputies of Shamsael Saraliev ("United Russia") and Andrei Lugovoi (LDPR).
