In Samara, on April 23, after a march against the abolition of social payments, its organizer, a deputy of the Communist Party faction in the Samara Provincial Duma, Mikhail Matveev, was detained. He was taken to police department No. 4 of the Oktyabrsky district, where they are going to draw up a protocol against him for organizing an uncoordinated march.
Today's "Social March" was dedicated to the demand to cancel the latest decisions of the Samara authorities, taken in relation to pensioners and other beneficiaries, which worsen their situation, the participants of the action also demanded the resignation of the governor of the Samara region Nikolai Merkushkin.
Earlier, the mayor's office of the city refused to agree on all six routes proposed by the organizers for the procession. However, on April 20, the court agreed with the arguments of the organizers of the action, considering that the decision of the city administration to refuse to hold a march along three routes in the city center was illegal.
